The first training “Development and implementation of European youth projects” under the program of “Academy Virago” is already a fact!
From August 31 to September 2, 2020, it brought together 17 young women and girls from Silistra district. They all demonstrated leadership qualities and ambitions, which makes them true VIRAGO women – the word is of Latin origin and means “a woman who demonstrates heroic qualities.”
The training, organized by the NGO “Parallel-Silistra”, offered them three creative ways to learn in three days. During the first day, the trainers used discussions and role games to acquire new knowledge in the field of project cycle management. During the second, the participants work in teams with lots of fun outdoor games. Finally, during the third day, the organizers used on-line training so that the VIRAGO women could draft a project application and related budget.
Due to the training, these young women can successfully analyze problems, find solutions, develop them into projects and apply for funding. Congratulations for this success!
The training is part of the international project VIRAGO, which is funded by the ERASMUS + program. The activities involve women aged 18-29, who will go through a series of trainings under the Virago Academy Program. And then they will participate in international youth exchange groups to build partnership networks. This model of cooperation is in the context of the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027. The project involves organizations and institutions from Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Estonia.
Due to the increased interest, Parallel-Silistra NGO will organize additional sessions of the same training. You can request your participation at: firstname.lastname@example.org
