Successful beach cleanup for International Environment Day

Paralel-Silistra News

On June 4, Asociación Creativa organized a beach cleanup in Arafo, Tenerife, Spain, to commemorate International Environment Day in conjunction with the “16 Days of Activism” of the BeActive project.

This initiative carried out in collaboration with the “Ecoimplicados” Association, attracted volunteers committed to protecting the marine environment and conserving biodiversity. The activity aimed not only to remove waste that threatens coastal fauna and flora but also to promote environmental awareness and civic responsibility in preserving our beaches.

The participation of “Ecoimplicados”, known for its commitment and work in protecting Tenerife’s coasts, was key since its experience and leadership in this type of activity contributed to guaranteeing the success and efficiency of the day.

Firstly, the volunteers learned about the environmental impact of dumping garbage in seas and brainstormed ideas on changing everyday consumption habits to avoid excessive plastic usage.

Then they thoroughly scoured the coast, collecting all kinds of waste, from plastics and cigarette butts to larger and heavier objects.

Congratulations to all the volunteers for their great work!
