The BeActive project team organised and performed the training ‘Quest in Sicily’ extremely successfully. The event is part of the “BeActive” project, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100088391613086, funded with the support of the Erasmus+ program of the EU. It involved 16 young people from Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Bulgaria (Silistra and Tutrakan) and their four trainers. The project is being implemented by a Partner consortium, headed by the NGO “Parallel-Silistra”, Bulgaria and three other partners including the Association “Bosco Angimbe”, Italy, the Association “Creativa”, Spain, and the European Institute “For Citizens”, Portugal.
The training program was conducted under the theme “Quest in Sicily” from April 18th to 24th, 2023. From the beginning, the young participants focused on the project topics: European activism and values, cultural tolerance, and environmental awareness. On the first evening, they enhanced their team-building skills. The next day, they learned about “The Incredible Journey of Plants” at the Botanical Garden of Sicily and participated in the “Cultural Detectives” game in Palermo. A significant emphasis was placed on civic education and preparing the participants for conducting national actions under the motto “16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM.” Initially, the campaign will involve 60 young people and another 200 in the four countries from April 2023 to February 2024.
The BeActive project has been funded with support from the Erasmus+ Program of EU via the Bulgarian NA, project number: 2022-1-BG01-KA210-YOU-000083772.
