As part of the celebrations for Europe Day on 9 May, we engaged 12th-grade students from the Foreign Language High School “Peyo Yavorov” in an interactive competition focused on European values, democratic participation, and environmental responsibility.
Through this educational activity, we aimed to encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and active discussions on topics related to sustainable development and civic engagement. The initiative was designed and facilitated by us, Miriam Stoyanova and Gergana Staneva, as participants in the Youth4Democracy: #Act4Climate project, under the coordination of Dr. Diana Bebenova-Nikolova.
Using a learning-through-play approach, the students had the opportunity to reflect on the importance of European values and to better understand how individual responsibility towards the environment contributes to building a more sustainable future for young people and their communities.
