The association “Parallel-Silistra” successfully completed its participation in the international training “Youth for Democracy and Climate Protection / Youth4Democracy: Act4Climate”, held from October 15–19, 2025 in Naples, Italy. The event was implemented with the financial support of the Erasmus+ program and brought together participants from several European countries, united by the common mission to promote democratic values and actions for climate sustainability among young people.
The training included youth workers and activists from Bulgaria, Italy, Portugal, and Finland, who took part in an intensive five-day program featuring lectures, interactive games, outdoor training, and non-formal educational activities.
During the training, participants exchanged experiences and ideas on how to:
- promote civic participation and European values among young people;
- connect youth work with climate justice and sustainable development;
- use innovative approaches to engage young people in local communities.
The Bulgarian group, coordinated by NGO “Parallel-Silistra”, consisted of four representatives, three of whom are students from the Silistra Branch of the “Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse, led by Chief Assistant Dr. Diana Bebenova-Nikolova.
The training in Naples is part of a series of international initiatives under the “Youth4Democracy: Act4Climate”project, which aims to build a network of young leaders and active citizens working for a more just, green, and democratic society.
