For the ninth consecutive year, the Innovation Camp in the Silistra region will bring together the creativity and energy of high school students from across the area.
The event Innovation Camp – Silistra 2025, dedicated to the theme “Green Entrepreneurship with a Civic Focus,” will take place on October 8–9, 2025, at the Silistra Branch of Ruse University “Angel Kanchev.”
The initiative is jointly organized by the Regional Department of Education – Silistra and the NGO “Parallel–Silistra,” with the kind support of the university as host.
This year’s edition will include 24 students from upper secondary schools in the region — Hristo Botev Secondary School and Yordan Yovkov Secondary School (Tutrakan), Vasil Levski Secondary School (Glavinitsa), Penyo Penev Vocational School of Construction (Silistra), Vocational School of Clothing and Technology (Dulovo), and Vocational School of Agriculture (Sitovo).
The young participants will take part in teamwork and entrepreneurship training sessions on October 8, followed by the development of innovative business solutions to a given challenge the next day. They will be supported by seven students from Ruse University, who will act as facilitators and mentors.
Funding for the event’s content and organizational support is provided by NGO “Parallel–Silistra” through the project “Youth for Democracy: Act4Climate,” implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme via the Human Resource Development Centre, Bulgaria (Agreement: KA2-2024-3-BG01-KA210-YOU-000280031). The project is coordinated by Dr. Diana Bebenova-Nikolova.
The organizers have also invited local businesses and institutions to provide sponsorship and awards for the most outstanding teams.
