In a collaborative effort to launch the VIeW (Empowering Women for Social Change) project, the Partners gathered for the Kick-off Meeting from October 27th to 29th, 2023. Hosted at the Danube Plaza Hotel’s Business Meeting Room in Ruse, Bulgaria, the event brought together representatives from the lead partner, SNC “Parallel Silistra,” Association TAVO Europe (Lithuania), Association for Cooperation and Social Inclusion Amanei (Spain), and Educational Institute Dorea (Cyprus).
The meeting, spanning two days with an additional day dedicated to travel, served as a pivotal moment for the VIeW project, setting the foundation for a collaborative and impactful initiative. The project aims to empower young people, including female participants and Ukrainian refugees, for social change.
Key Highlights of the Kick-off Partner Meeting:
1. Vision and Objectives:
The Project Manager opened the meeting by providing a comprehensive overview of the VIeW project’s vision and objectives. Emphasizing the importance of empowering youth for social change, the Partners discussed strategies to identify and engage the most suitable target groups, focusing on young female participants and Ukrainian refugees.
2. Financial Preparedness:
One of the critical aspects discussed during the meeting was the financial readiness of the project. The Partners informed themselves about the financial rules and documents hosted on the project platform on the VIeW Google Drive, ensuring accessibility for all involved parties. The Platform was highlighted as a critical contact point for all accountants, streamlining communication and financial management across the partnership.
3. Collaborative Planning:
The meeting provided a platform for collaborative planning, encouraging active participation from all partner organizations. Discussions revolved around identifying best practices, sharing expertise, and laying the groundwork for the effective implementation of the VIeW project. With representatives from diverse backgrounds and experiences, the collaborative planning sessions aimed to harness the strengths of each partner to achieve the project’s overarching goals.
4. Inclusivity and Diversity:
In line with the project’s commitment to empowerment, inclusivity, and social change, the discussions underscored the importance of reaching diverse and often marginalized groups. Special attention was given to tailoring the project’s approach to address the unique needs and challenges faced by young female participants and Ukrainian refugees, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
